Human Creativity in the Age of AI

Move beyond ‘use AI to go faster’ and learn the PL.AI mindset (Play, Adapt, Innovate) so you can lead through uncertainty with confidence.

What to expect

If you’re already AI literate but want to stay creatively distinctive and professionally relevant, this session is for you. We’ll explore why human creativity and critical thinking are becoming more valuable not less, and how our approach to technology needs to evolve to match that reality. You’ll leave with the PL.AI Mindset (Play, Adapt, Innovate), a simple framework you can use personally and with your team to work better with AI through uncertainty and complexity. Along the way, I’ll draw on the work of futures designer Nick Foster and the neuroscience of play to help make the ideas stick.

Intention

To explore how a PL.AI mindset (not your technical skills) shapes your ability to work with AI, helping you respond more effectively to uncertainty, change, and complexity.

Desired Outcomes

By the end of the session, participants will have:

  • Learnt about the PL.AI mindset and how this can help with changing our approach to using AI so that we're more open.

  • Used the PL.AI mindset to collaborate with each other, playing with AI to come up with new ideas together.

  • Enjoyed themselves and left feeling energised, connected and inspired individually and as a group.

  • At least one practical idea to start making their vision real.

  • At least one practical idea to start making their vision real.

From Bold Vision to Brilliant Strategy

A quick paced, imaginative session that helps you explore the impossible, so your future strategy has a vision strong enough to survive any change.

What to expect

When creating a strategy it’s easy to skip over the vision part and focus on the ‘how tos’. The problem is that you end up optimising what is already possible. This is a fast paced session that will help you access your imagination, using time travel (yes really) and the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methodology to create a bold vision for your career or organisation. You’ll leave with inspiration, a sharper direction and a language you can use to communicate what you want to commit to.

Intention

To create a protected space to imagine the seemingly impossible first so that participants have a way of unlocking a bold vision to shape their purpose and strategic direction.

Desired Outcomes

By the end of the session, participants will have:

  • A clearer, bolder vision that goes beyond incremental improvement.

  • Expanded capacity to imagine bold, inspiring future possibilities.

  • Enjoyed themselves and left feeling energised, connected and inspired individually and as a group.

  • At least one practical idea to start making their vision real.

The Secret Super Power for Change and Uncertainty

An interactive exploration into why play is one of the most underestimated competitive advantages for adapting, leading and thriving in fast-changing environments.

What to expect

This taster session reframes play as a serious human capability that supports adaptability, creativity, flow, and effective leadership. The session draws on research into adult play and neuroscience (including the work of Stuart Brown and Jaak Panksepp) to offer a surprisingly practical (and enjoyable!) way of training ourselves to respond to change and keep innovating in a rapidly changing world.

Intention

To explore how our innate capacity to play (expressed through curiosity, experimentation, and creativity) supports adaptability, leadership, and innovation in times of change, and how understanding our own play style can become a powerful competitive advantage in our careers and businesses.

Desired Outcomes

By the end of the session, participants will have:

  • Understood why play is not a ‘nice to have’, but a core human capability that supports learning, adaptability, and innovation throughout adulthood.

  • Explored their own play personality through a series of activities, and learned how this can support their response to change, uncertainty, and challenges both in and outside of work.

  • Enjoyed themselves and left feeling energised, connected and inspired individually and as a group.

  • At least one practical idea for leaning into their play personality.
